It's fun to see where the shows on your top 20 ended up on my overall list: Outlander (22 on my list), Homeland (74), Fargo (32), Orange is the New Black (26), It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (43), Person of Interest (76), The Walking Dead (96), Daredevil (58), Game of Thrones (33), Mad Men (1), Better Call Saul (37), Jessica Jones (50), Rectify (3), The 100 (11), The Americans (5), Mr. Robot (41), Hannibal (16), Halt and Catch Fire (15), Review (18), The Leftovers (17).
ReplyDeleteIt seems like in general you like genre stuff (Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Daredevil/Jessica Jones) more than I do, and I like theme-heavy stuff slightly more (I have Mad Men, Rectify, and The Americans higher on my list but not by much).
I'm surprised and delighted that you liked Halt and Catch Fire so much. Glad my recommendation worked out. But Nathan for You narrowly missing the top 20 hurts my soul...
Nathan For You is still good, I just don't connect with it as much because he's always so awkward to me. I really liked the episode that the pic I used came from and the finale.
ReplyDeleteHalt and Catch Fire is my replacement for Mad Men now (I know it's not considered as good, but I love it).
Rectify was really good this year, but Season 2 had a bigger impact on me (that big fight with Teddy and Tawny, the premiere with those visions of the black friend from prison and that whole hallucinatory confrontation with the bad guy in that dead guy's house).
The Americans was still great, I just liked shows like Robot better.
